The results of this problem can be seen as either of the following:

• Observations from the map data set and point data set are both included in the output data set with blank values for the identification variable.

• Values for observations from the point data set can be changed from the original values.

No messages are written to the SAS Log to indicate that a problem exists in the output created by the procedure.

This problem occurs when missing values exist for either the X or Y value in the point data set. To circumvent the problem, remove the observations with missing values from the data set.
